<p>Dancer and choreographer Shantala Shivalingappa has artistic roots in the classical Indian dance form Kuchipudi. Before starting her own company she worked with such luminaries as Maurice Béjart, Pina Bausch and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.</p><article> <p>This screening will be followed by a conversation with the filmmakers.</p></article>

<p>Voordat danseres en choreografe Shantala Shivalingappa haar eigen gezelschap begon, werkte ze onder meer met Maurice Béjart, Pina Bausch en Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. Haar wortels bevinden zich in de Indiaase Kuchipudi-dans. Deze documentaire volgt Shivalingappa tijdens haar tour. De culturele en filoso-fische kanten van haar werk blijken ook in haar dagelijks leven een belangrijke rol te spelen.</p><p>De documentaire wordt afgesloten met een gesprek met de makers.</p>
