ד"ר אריק שגב הוא פילוסוף של החינוך ומרצה בכיר במכללות האקדמיות קיי וספיר. הוא משמש כעורך הראשי של כתב העת השפיט "לקסי־קיי" וכראש חטיבת החינוך במכללת ספיר. עבודתו עוסקת, בין היתר, ביסודות המטאפיזיים והתיאולוגיים של חינוך מוסרי ופיתוחם של חיי רוח ורוחניות (במיוחד בהקשר החילוני), הן ברמת הפרט והן במרחב הציבורי. כמו כן, ד"ר שגב כותב על סוגיית תכלית החינוך והחיבור שלה למוסדות חינוכיים, לתוכנית הלימודים הקלסית ולפילוסופיה כמסורת וכפרקטיקה; וכן על משמעותה של מנהיגות חינוכית, ההיבטים הקיומיים של חוסן נפשי וחינוך לפיתוח תודעת סובייקט בעולם. אריק חי עם משפחתו בבית קמה שבנגב.
Dr. Arik Segev is a Philosopher of Education and Senior Lecturer at Kaye and Sapir Academic Colleges. He serves as Editor-in-Chief of the peer-reviewed journal Lexi-Kaye and Head of the Education Division at Sapir College. His work explores the metaphysical and theological foundations of moral education, and the cultivation of wisdom and spirituality (particularly within a secular context), both at the individual level and in the public sphere. Additionally, Dr. Segev writes on the purpose of education and its connection to educational institutions, the classical curriculum, and philosophy as tradition and practice. His writing also covers educational leadership, the existential dimensions of resilience, and education for the development of subjectivity. Arik lives with his family in Beit Kama, in the Negev.
