Michal Komem is a member of faculty and the Chair of the Rotem Center for young women at risk at the School of Social Work in Sapir Academic College. For over 20 years, she has been involved in both research and development of unique programs and professional practice for and with adolescent girls and young women. She is the founder of the program "Girls on the Map" at JDC-Ashalim, a cross-organizational partnership for initiating innovative programs in favor of girls, which has had a significant impact on the professional discourse on adolescent girls in Israel.
