Dr. Ella Ben-Atar

ד"ר אלה בן עטר היא ראשת מסלול רדיו ופודקאסטים במחלקה לתקשורת במכללת ספיר, חוקרת ומרצה המתמחה בקשר שבין תקשורת, חוסן קהילתי ומצבי חירום. תחום ההתמחות הייחודי שהיא מפתחת בעשור האחרון עוסק בדרכי פעולה ותגובה של תקשורת במצבי לחץ, מתוך מיקוד ברדיו חינוכי ככלי לחיזוק החוסן האישי והקהילתי. בשנת 2019 יצא לאור ספרה "משדרים תחת אש: רדיו חינוכי במצבי חירום" (הוצאת פרדס), המהווה תרומה משמעותית לשיח המחקרי והמעשי בתחום.
ד"ר בן עטר מפרסמת מאמרים בכתבי עת אקדמיים בעברית ובאנגלית, ומשלבת בין עשייה מחקרית, הוראה חדשנית, ועבודה בשטח עם מוסדות חינוך וקהילות במצבי חירום.

Dr. Ella Ben Atar is the Head of the Radio and Podcasting Track in the Department of Communication at Sapir College. She is a lecturer and researcher specializing in the intersections of communication, community resilience, and emergency situations. Over the past decade, she has developed a unique area of expertise focusing on the role of media in times of stress, with particular emphasis on educational radio as a tool for strengthening individual and collective resilience.

In 2019, her book Broadcasting Under Fire: Educational Radio in Emergency Situations was published by Pardes Publishing, offering a significant contribution to both academic research and practical discourse in the field.

Dr. Ben Atar has published articles in peer-reviewed journals in both Hebrew and English and integrates academic scholarship with innovative teaching and hands-on work with educational institutions and communities during times of crisis.
