Dr. Gabriela Jonas Aharoni

Dr. Gabriela Jonas Aharoni is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Audio and Visual Arts at Sapir College, Israel. She specializes in social identities and historical memory in Latin American, Spain, Israel television and films. Her book "Argentinian Telenovelas. Southern Sagas Rewrite Social and Political Reality", published in 2015. The article "Youth Trauma TV in Israeli Euphoria: Overcoming Social Limitations and Generic Conventions," co-authored with Dr. Yuval Guzansky, was recently published in the European Journal of Cultural Studies.
